For official HMRC BX5 or BX9 and BFPO addresses without a town, leave the town field empty and keep both commas. For BFPO, include its BFPO number on an address line.

Every UK postcode is checked against a current postcode directory before payment. This does not verify the full property or recipient name.

Wrong address means no refund
If a letter is returned or cannot be delivered because an address you provide is wrong or incomplete, or is otherwise undeliverable, we will not refund the printing or postage charge for that letter — you will lose that amount.

How to send letters in bulk
PostOwl is for occasional small batches: the same PDF to 2 to 25 UK recipients, paid for in one guest checkout. You do not need a business account or subscription. The per-letter price is the same as a single send.
Upload one PDF, then add recipients individually or paste your address list. Each recipient gets an identical, individually enveloped letter, printed and handed to Royal Mail, priced exactly like a single send, from £1.79 a letter, so 25 one-page letters cost £44.75 with the standard PostOwl insert. It suits landlords writing to tenants, clubs and residents’ associations, invitations, and anyone winding up an estate.

Prepare and check the batch
- Prepare one PDF containing the letter every recipient should receive. The letter body is identical for all recipients; this is not personalised mail merge.
- Add 2–25 recipients using the address form, or paste addresses one per line. Use name, street, town and postcode; add an optional address line between street and town.
- Review the address checks and choose black and white or colour, paper sides and postage.
- Check the per-letter price and batch total, then pay once. Each envelope is addressed separately.

These are fictional examples. Replace them with real recipient details, without a heading row. Put a field containing a comma in double quotes, such as "Example House, West Wing".

These totals include one black-and-white PDF page per recipient, an envelope, second class postage and the separate PostOwl insert. With standard first or second class, removing the insert adds £0.75 per letter. Tracked services use separate pricing. There is no volume discount in these examples.
Worked example: a two-page update to ten members
Suppose a club needs the same two-page meeting update sent to ten UK addresses. Upload the two-page PDF, paste ten addresses and choose black-and-white printing with standard second class postage. With the PostOwl insert, each letter costs £1.94 and the batch costs £19.40. This is a pricing example, not a customer case study or a delivery-time promise.

How much does it cost to send the same letter to 25 people?+
Sending a one-page black-and-white letter to 25 UK addresses costs £44.75: 25 × £1.79, including printing, envelopes, standard second class postage and the separate PostOwl insert. For standard first or second class, extra PDF pages are £0.15 each, colour adds £0.10 per page and removing the insert adds £0.75 per letter. First class adds £0.90 per letter. Tracked services use separate pricing. Check the exact batch total before payment.
Can I cancel some of the letters after paying?+
Each letter has its own private cancellation link. Use it to check whether that letter can still be stopped; production can begin quickly. A cancellation confirmed for one letter does not cancel the other letters in the batch. Check the confirmation for the outcome and any refund.
Can I put a different name or message inside each letter?+
The recipient address on each envelope is different, but every recipient receives the same uploaded PDF. PostOwl does not merge names or other fields into the letter body. Prepare separate letters if their contents must differ.
Can I send hundreds of letters in one batch?+
This form supports up to 25 UK recipients in one payment. It has no volume discount or personalised mail merge. If you need a large campaign, compare services built for that volume and workflow.
