Your statutory 14-day cooling-off right still applies to a new subscription. Extra pages, colour and dearer postage are charged at the usual price.
How does the monthly allowance work?
Each paid month loads your plan's letters. Sign in to your account, then send letters on /send or /bulk as usual: each one uses a letter from your allowance instead of a card payment. When the allowance runs out, letters are charged at the normal price.
What does one letter cover?
A one-page black-and-white letter, printed, enveloped and posted with your plan's postage (2nd class, 1st class, Tracked 48 or Tracked 24). A letter with cheaper postage is covered too. Extra pages, colour and removing the flyer are charged on top at the usual price. A letter sent with dearer postage than your plan's (for example Tracked 24 on a Tracked 48 plan, or Special Delivery) is charged at the normal price and doesn't use a letter.
Do unused letters roll over or get refunded?
No. Each billing month starts with a fresh allowance. Letters you don't use that month expire and are not refunded, credited or carried over, so pick the plan you'll actually use. If a letter from your allowance is cancelled or refunded in the same month, it goes back into your allowance.
How do I cancel or change plan?
Sign in at /account and choose Manage subscription. You can cancel, switch plan or update your card there. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you've paid for, and you keep that month's letters until then. A switch to a dearer plan applies straight away with a proportionate charge: on the same postage you get a matching share of the extra letters for the rest of the month; on dearer postage your letters left this month move to the new postage and the full new allowance starts next month. A switch to a cheaper plan applies from the next month.
Is there a cooling-off period?
Yes, the statutory 14 days. Email hello@postowl.org within 14 days of subscribing and we'll cancel and refund the payment, less the plan price per letter for any letters already sent from the allowance (for example £1.80 a letter on Business 5, £1.58 on Business 12). After those 14 days, payments are not refunded, including for letters you didn't use. Cancelling in the account area only stops the next renewal, so email us to get the cooling-off refund.
Do I still need an account for single letters?
No. Sending one letter stays account-free: upload, pay and we post it. The account is only for the monthly plan.
