Tracked services use separate page and insert pricing. Standard first class, colour and insert-removal surcharges do not stack with them. Checkout shows the total, and a tracking code is emailed when available. An order accepted for printing is not confirmation of delivery.

What to check before you pay

A headline price only helps when you know what it covers. Use the same checklist for every service and for the exact letter you need to send.

Check 1

Total delivered price

Check that printing, the envelope and postage are included, then look at the final total before payment.

Check 2

Pages and colour

Extra-page and colour charges can change the total, so price the document you actually plan to send.

Check 3

Postage and dispatch

Confirm the postage class, the day's dispatch cutoff and whether delivery timing is an estimate or a guarantee.

Check 4

Checkout

Check whether an account, subscription or minimum order is required and which payment methods are accepted.

Check 5

Document handling

Read how long uploaded documents are stored and what order information remains after dispatch.

Online letter pricing questions

What does PostOwl's base price include?

The £1.79 base price includes printing the first page in black and white, an envelope and Royal Mail 2nd class postage to a UK address. The base price includes a separate PostOwl promotional page; removing it costs £0.75. The exact total is shown before payment.

Do I need an account to send a letter?

No. PostOwl uses guest checkout: upload a PDF, enter the recipient's UK address and pay by card or Apple Pay. An account is only used for the optional monthly PostOwl Business plan.

When will PostOwl dispatch my letter?

Check the current collection information shown before you order. Printing acceptance and postal handoff are separate stages. Delivery estimates start when the letter is posted, not when you pay.

What should I compare before choosing an online letter service?

Check the final delivered total for your actual page count and print options, postage class and cutoff, account or subscription requirements, payment methods and document-retention policy.

Review your exact total before payment. No account required.
